School Mission

Our mission is to foster the naturally developing minds of children. We believe Montessori is a way of life. The environment and works are meant to develop a child’s confidence in themselves. We provide a child-centered environment; where each child has responsibility and ownership over the classroom as well as their learning. We want to mentally empower, build self-confidence and work ethic that will last a lifetime.

Our Preschool

We provide all the fun of a preschool experience as well as a great foundation of education every young child deserves.  Rogue Valley Montessori Preschool uses the Montessori approach to educate Preschoolers between the ages of 2.5-5 years old. We provide a bilingual and multi-cultural preschool experience.
We focus on concept development in order to provide the best foundation for abstraction in later years. We bring nature back into the classroom to inspire a child's natural rhythm, bring tranquility, and respect for our planet. We
offer a mixed aged classroom experience, developmentally appropriate natural didactic materials, guidance, and a child directed learning experience.

Additional Benefits

Balanced Educational Environment
We provide students with a balance their young minds need. Children are exposed to work through group lessons, one-on-one lessons, and student teacher lessons. Montessori work sessions allow children to get into a quiet workflow free of distractions a child can self-reflect and self-teach. Children are given the option to be both students and teachers.
Play is also essential for a young child. Creative play is encouraged in the early mornings and afternoons to build on their creativity and out of the box thinking. A mixture of outside play and yoga provide their physical activity demands.
A peaceful rest time, with stories, or yoga teaches them self-soothing and calming skills.

We must help the child to act for himself, will for himself, think for himself; this is the art of those who aspire to serve the spirit. -Dr. Maria Montessori
